Jesmond Dene, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Jesmond Dene is a unique park only 1.5 miles from Newcastle city centre. Set in a deep narrow ravine, it is a mix of natural woodland and man made areas. It was donated to the city by industrialist Lord Armstrong. It used to have it all to himself, but with the city growing in the Victorian era, he donated it for all city residents and visitors to enjoy.
